Gardens and roof terraces for Ritz Carlton and Currency House,
Dubai, UAE.
As part of the Dubai International Financial Centre development two plots had landscape designs
taken through detailed design and construction documentation through to implementation.
One was the Ritz Carlton hotel which involved 1.5-hectares of new terraces and gardens whose
formality and structure took their cue form the solid arcaded architecture of the stone building.
The second design, Currency House, was a mixed-use development with commercial, residential and
retail uses. The 2-hectare design laid out a series of interconnected pools, palm courts and
lawns.
