Private Garden,
West London.
This garden design responded creatively to a very challenging, linear site. The idea was that the garden
transitioned from a formal space (the ‘House’), through to a looser space (the ‘ante-room’), though to a rear garden
(the ‘Woodland’).
The paving used carefully selected second hand york stone and bricks from a local architectural salvage depot;
whilst the pergola used rough Scots pine for a rustic appearance. Planting was inspired by the countryside in Scotland
with beech hedging, ferns and dry shade perennials.
